With so many things still unknown, we are looking to Government guidance as the bottom line, but we’re going above and beyond this with our own criteria that we think is the safest to our guests and the soundest possible response. We know that not everyone feels ready for a holiday just yet and nothing is guaranteed in these uncertain times, but for those who do want to get away, we’ve put together the following Covid-19 action plan that outlines the measures we’ve put in place that we ask you to consider before booking:

We have stepped up our cleaning regime and, in addition, we are using an anti-viral fogging machine which sanitises all surfaces and is safe to breathe.

We have signed up to the Airbnb ‘Committed to Clean’ programme which outlines a clear methodology to provide that follows government guidance and recommendations for hospitality businesses.

We are having to delay the guest check-in time till 4pm to allow for the additional cleaning and fogging of the property.

Extra attention will be paid to sanitising cross-contamination areas such as bathrooms, kitchen, door handles, TV remote and keys / key safe. All cleaning staff will be provided with suitable PPE.

All our bedding will be professionally laundered at a temperature of no less than 60 degrees.

We are removing non essential items which have a high cross-contamination risk such as toys, games, DVDs and books, throws and some cushions.

We are requesting that guests put all used crockery and cutlery through the dishwasher before vacating the house.

We hope that these additional measures and the co-operation of our guests to comply with social distancing measures put in place in the town will keep the risks to a minimum to help us provide the safest possible stay to everyone who visits Lancaster House.
